The players of the first-person shooter video game, Battlefield 1, stopped shooting each other on the game on the 11th hour on Veterans Day 2018 (formerlly known as Armistice Day) in the United States, November 11, 2018.

Jan David Hassel, a Tech Designer at EA DICE which developed the “Battlefield 1”, encouraged the gamers via Twitter, to stop fighting to commemorate the end of World War 1 (WW1).

“This is the 100 Year Anniversary of the End of WW1. On the 11th Hour we stopped fighting.”
